In-Home Services include:
Homemaker services include routine house cleaning, laundry, essential shopping, errands, meal preparation, etc. and do not require supervision by a medial person and are services usually performed by domestic workers in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Chore Service is household maintenance such as heavy cleaning (washing walls, windows), scrubbing floor, yard maintenance (mowing lawns, raking leaves), shoveling sidewalks, and replacing light bulbs, etc. These are designed to increase the safety of an individuals residence and do not require a trained homemaker or specialist.
Personal Care services are provided to meet a client’s physical needs and include assisting with basic personal tasks such as bathing, medication, dressing, personal appearance, feeding, etc. These services are provided by personal caregivers under the direction of a medical professional. Also included are Home Health Aide services for persons with acute or chronic illness; and Respite Care, which is short-term home care delivered to an elderly person as a substitute for their regular caregiver. Respite Care is designed to provide relief to relatives and friends who care for persons on a continuous basis.
Eligibility: Persons must be over the age of 60 or the spouse of someone over 60 years of age, however there are other eligibility requirements for these services which are determined by the service provider. Not all providers provide all of the above services, for more information, contact:
